To walk with lions

Actually I wanted so much work be done today, but now I've spent half the afternoon in watching one of my favourite movies again. I got the DVD today (until now I've had only the video) and I acutally only wanted to have a little look at it, but got lost in it once again. The movie's called "To walk with lions" and it's about the last years in the life of the Kenyan game warden George Adamson, who spent all his life in saving lions and the Kenyan wild life. Now - I love cats. The bigger, the better. Therefore I love lions very much and in this movie one gets to see a lot of lions and one gets a lot of insights in their lifes. It's just wonderful - and the pictures from the landscape in Africa in this movie are so great! But what gets me always most is the performance Richard Harris gave as George Adamson. I love him as Dumbledore, I adored him as the Irish farmer in "The Field", I found him wonderful in "Camelot", but "To walk with lions" is my absolute favourite. He's very "quiet" there, much more calmer as he ever was when he was himself, but it suits him (or it suits Adamson, who - after what I've read about him - was a quiet, calm man). And this voice of his - always a bit hoarse ... damn, damn, damn - sometimes I think they don't make men (and actors) like this anymore and it's a real pity. But probably I'm only becoming old.Anyway: "To walk with lions" is my favourite movie and if you, my dear reader, like lions so much as I do - go to watch this movie! Maxgoing back to work

Hi! I received your email this morning (had a huge storm last night and I was racing around, unplugging everything that was expensive so I wasn't at the computer from about 7pm on..) and will be reading this afternoon. (I have a whole bunch of kids over here at the moment - not my kids - so I'm waiting until they go home to read). I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what the interesting plot line is.Do you mind if I friend you? Feel free to say no, since you don't know me in the least, but I promise, I only post about my love for Snape and the boring household stuff that goes on in my life. Have a great day!

Dear Kellie,I don't mind, but feel flattered. And because you're a friend of Dee and I love Dee dearly, I think I'll just go to friend you back - though I must say you won't find here much more as the "story with the interesting plot line" and the boring stuff about my household. ;-)YoursMax (who hopes you'll like the story)
