and once again: The interview game

Yet this time I'm to play the game with questioning pigwidgeon37 and ozratbag2.First Susanna aka pigwidgeon37 - she was the first to ask me, so she'll be the first to be asked by me. ;-) 1. If you could choose a place to live without thinking of money, job, friends or family - where would you live? 2. Congratulations: You've won 10 millions. Now, what you're going to do?3. It's a rainy sunday afternoon. You're in your favourite Kaffeehaus and there you see him: A very handsome man - just the type you like. He seats - all for himself - at a table, reads a book and it's even a book you like. He doesn't wear a ring, he doesn't look as if he'd wait for a lady friend, but as he recognizes your looking at him, he smiles - a bit shy, but it's a real smile. And he really looks nice ... and interesting. Actually he looks like a man you'd like to be with. What will you do?4. You've got the handsome man from the Kaffeehaus - at least for something like a start. But now, after your first and great dinner together, he tells you he must go on a journey for the next four weeks. Yet he's really interested in you and he wants to get to know you better. Therefore he asks if you'd lean him three things from you: Your favourite book, your favourite CD and your favourite movie. What will you give him?5. What do you like about your appearance? And now to ozratbag2 - and I hope I'm not too indiscrete. ;-)1. The famous good fairy comes along and so you've got three wishes she'll fullfill you. What would you like to get?2. Like Susanna: You were in the Kaffeehaus und there you've met this very handsome, nice guy. He asked you for dinner, you went with him. The next day your best friend is calling and she asks you, how dinner was. Your very first sentence is: "Forget it. I don't want to meet this idiot again..." What happened? With what could a guy drive you away at the first evening?3. Lucky one: It seems you're a witch and even a very talented one. So you're to become an animagnus. What do you think which animal you'll become?4. And once again the good fairy is coming to you. This time she'll give you an opportunity to spend one evening with whomever you like - if alike or not. With whom you'd like to have your dinner?5. It's so nice: You're on a visit at my place. I'm glad you're here, but unfortunately I have to go to an appointment for two hours and because it's about business, I can't take you with me. So you have to spend the two hours at my place. It shouldn't be hard to get yourself entertained here because I have a big library, a pc you can go online with, a dvd player with a lot of great movies and a big collection of cds. Besides you could go for a swim in our pool or play billard. What would you do? I'm looking forward to your answers, dear. ;-)

Hi Max - and I hope I'm not too indiscrete. ;-)Not at all and my answers are...1. The famous good fairy comes along and so you've got three wishes she'll fullfill you. What would you like to get? That's actually a really hard question to answer, because the immediate response is the stock standard, peace, fame and money. They don't suit me to a degree, so I suppose in this instance, I'd say...HAPPINESS - to know that I've found my own niche in life and that what I choose to do suits me absolutely. I'd also add the extra that it'd be nice to find someone with whom to share that happiness, but that's just a bit trite.PEACE - both on a personal level and also in more generic terms with regards to mess we all seem to have made of the world. COMMON SENSE - Thankfully I think I actually already have this one and I'd much prefer it instead of unlimited brains. In the same family as common sese, I sometimes think I probably need a bit more tact and to be a little less blunt in my everyday dealings with people. I tend to call a spade a spade. ;)2. With what could a guy drive you away at the first evening? If he was only interested in himself, or proving how good he was at his job, that'd be a big turn off. Also, if he was bigoted, or treated the waitress/waiter with contempt or was rude, then those little clues always give me a good idea that any man is not worth the trouble. My rationale is that, if they treat strangers like that, how would they treat me? If he talked non-stop sport (though I do like cricket and rugby), well that's fine in moderation, but I like to talk to people about all sorts of things, not just a few fleeting observations.Sounds selfish, but when I do meet that special someone who makes me melt, who cares about everything around him and what two special people can give to each other, well then I'll be floating on cloud nine. 3. Lucky one: It seems you're a witch and even a very talented one. So you're to become an animagnus. What do you think which animal you'll become?Another of those hard questions, but it's a toss up between a dolphin and a well loved and very spoilt housepet - dog or cat, it doesn't matter.4. And once again the good fairy is coming to you. This time she'll give you an opportunity to spend one evening with whomever you like - if alike or not. With whom you'd like to have your dinner? That's another hard question! You really dipped into the hard basket collection, Max.Umm...without being completely maudlin, I'd rather like to spend the evening with my father. He died when I was too young to know him and so I'd love just one evening to try and get to know him. Failing that, Leonardo Da Vinci.5. It's so nice: You're on a visit at my place. I'm glad you're here, but unfortunately I have to go to an appointment for two hours and because it's about business, I can't take you with me. So you have to spend the two hours at my place. Besides you could go for a swim in our pool or play billard. What would you do?Strangely enough, I'm actually really reserved, so I tend to not want to delve into friends belongings, even if I've known them for years. I have no idea why. So I would more than likely have a look at your bookshelves for something to browse through rather than read, and then I'd have a look at your music collection and pick something soothing and well loved. I'd tend to stay in the same spot too and just find a comfy chair and read. Ann

Interesting. I like these quizzes, and I just had to comment on your description of London. You wrote it like I would image it to be. Sadly, there is no history around here. Everything is just too young. (In the history sense) Another thing is, no one appreciates the history, the value, the sense of belonging that one feels when you see the older buildings. Also, the time travel question, I agree this is the best time for women is now. After reading about the pioneer woman this summer, I would have hated to live during that time. And sadly again, I probably will never see London--- I have to 'see' it through others wonderful descriptions. Thank you for the wonderful trip. :)
